Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Ranked Battles October Season Is Here
Battle your fellow Trainers to move up the leaderboard and earn helpful in-game rewards.

The Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Ranked Battles October Season (Season 11) is here! It’s time for Trainers to test their battle skills and win rewards that will help on their journey to becoming the best Pokémon Trainer they can be.
The October Season will follow Series 6 regulations, which means the following top-ranked Pokémon from the July Season (Season 8) are not permitted:
- Venusaur
- Gyarados
- Porygon2
- Tyranitar
- Torkoal
- Hippowdon
- Magnezone
- Togekiss
- Excadrill
- Whimsicott
- Incineroar
- Mimikyu
- Rillaboom
- Cinderace
- Indeedee
- Dragapult

September and October Season Rewards
Master Ball Tier
- Gold Bottle Cap ×3
- 600 Battle Points
- Armorite Ore ×30
Ultra Ball Tier

Great Ball Tier
- Bottle Cap ×3
- Ability Capsule ×1
- 100 Battle Points

How to Start a Ranked Battle
- Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
- Open the X menu.
- Select VS.
- Select Battle Stadium.
- Select Ranked Battles.
How to Receive In-Game Rewards
You will need to finish at least one match with a win or loss during a Ranked Battles season to be eligible for rewards at the end of the season.
- Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
- Open the X menu.
- Select Mystery Gift.
- Select Get a Mystery Gift.
- Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.
Regarding the Battle-Ready Symbol
Only Pokémon obtained in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield or those with the battle-ready symbol are eligible to participate.
Pokémon from previous games in the Pokémon series can receive the battle-ready symbol from the character next to the door in the center of the Battle Tower. Moves that cannot be used in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be forgotten when the battle-ready symbol is applied to your Pokémon. Once forgotten, these moves cannot be remembered.
