April 10, 2018

The latest Pokémon GO Community Day is upon us! Community Days are monthly worldwide events dedicated to celebrating Pokémon GO’s vast community of Trainers who have helped make the game such a phenomenon.

This month’s Pokémon GO Community Day will be held on April 15, 2018, and Mareep will be the featured Pokémon of the day. During a three-hour window that day, wild Mareep will appear with much greater frequency than normal. You’ll want to catch as many as you can during that time period. Mareep evolve into Flaaffy, and if you evolve a Flaaffy into Ampharos during those three hours, it will know the attack Dragon Pulse! Only Ampharos that evolve or are caught during the Community Day festivities will learn this awesome move.

In addition to all the Mareep excitement, you’ll also hatch Eggs four times as fast for the duration of Pokémon GO Community Day event. When using an Incubator, 10 km Eggs will hatch after walking 2.5 km, but when a Super Incubator is used, you’ll only need to walk 1.25 km to hatch the same Egg! Plus, Lure Modules will remain active for three hours, helping Trainers get the most out of the event. Check below to find out when the event hours fall in your region of the world:

  • The Americas: April 15, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PDT
  • The Asia-Pacific region: April 15, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST
  • Europe, the Middle East, and Africa: April 15, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC

So stock up on Poké Balls, get your Lure Modules ready, and prepare to meet up with fellow Trainers to celebrate the Pokémon GO community! When you share your experiences on social media, remember to use the hashtag #PokemonGOCommunityDay so everyone sees your accomplishments. We’ll see you on April 15!
