Can’t Get Enough Kanto?
Reconnect with Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region, earn double Candy, and take on new Raid Battles in Pokémon GO.

The newest Pokémon GO event is a blast from the past! The surprising appearance of the Mythical Pokémon Mew seems to have attracted hordes of wild Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region, so you’ll see far more of them from April 10–17.
Pokémon roaming around won’t be the only ones affected by this event—Raid Battles will also feature Aerodactyl, Snorlax, and other rare Pokémon from Kanto. You’ll receive double the amount of Candy you normally would from all actions, too. And if you’re a little short on Premium Raid Passes, special boxes will be available for purchase in the in-game shop to help you stock up.
This event is a great opportunity to work toward catching the 100 species of Pokémon required to earn the gold Kanto medal, or even to complete your Kanto Pokédex. Earning this gold medal is crucial if you want to complete your first Special Research request and encounter Mew, so don’t delay!
