Not all Nintendo Switch games can be found on shop shelves! Nintendo eShop is also home to plenty of great titles of all shapes and sizes, from retro classics to quirky platformers, enormous RPGs to futuristic racers, and more.
We mentioned a few Nintendo eShop titles while talking about single-player experiences and multiplayer mayhem on Nintendo Switch, but that’s just the start when it comes to downloadable games!

Calling all speed demons: FAST RMX is a futuristic racer that’s all about tearing it up on tracks at super-high speeds! If you can keep up with that, you might just have the hand-to-eye co-ordination to take on VOEZ, a finger-tapping rhythm game that’s filled to the brim with tunes.
Not quite your tempo? Set off on a slower-paced, yet undeniably epic, quest in classic-style RPG I am Setsuna, or team up with friends to solve all kinds of papery puzzles in Snipperclips – Cut it out, together! There’s a free* demo available for that one, too.
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment are also available now, offering a distinctly retro platforming challenge. Hot tip – Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment is actually included as part of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, so if you want to play every character’s campaign, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is the one to go for!

There are loads more fantastic titles on the way! Unique puzzle-platformer Snake Pass ssslithers onto Nintendo Switch on March 29th, and slightly more conventional platformers Sonic Mania and Yooka-Laylee are also coming soon. Meanwhile, later this year CommanderVideo is back in the zany exclusive Runner3 and riches are waiting to be unearthed in SteamWorld Dig 2.
Tacticians-in-training will be able to get their fighting fix in Wargroove, a turn-based strategy game for one to four players, with 12 campaigns and local and online* multiplayer. There are going to be plenty of opportunities to team up too, with co-operative games like cook ‘em up Overcooked: Special Edition, jailbreak adventure The Escapists 2 and open-ended country life RPG Stardew Valley!
That’s not even close to everything! More than 60 quality indie games are confirmed for Nintendo Switch this year alone, and you can get a glimpse of just a few of them in our Nintendo Switch Nindies Showcase.
