Thanking each and every Miiverser for such a pleasant 2014 experience. đ
â NintendObs Weekly – Monday, December 22, 2014 – Sunday, December 28, 2014.
Hello, friends of Miiverse!
Hereâs some news that may be useful for new users of Nintendo 3DS, 2DS and Wii U systems! A âWelcomeâ checklists for what you can do with your systems are now online. Check out the link at the bottom of this post. Nintendo experts, some of these tips might be even helpful for you, too đ
And, I bet there are going to be many newcomers on Miiverse during the holidays, too, so I thoughtâŠwhy donât WE share some tips or experiences on fun ways to enjoy Miiverse?
Here are some questions I want to ask all of you existing Miiverse users!
- What tips and advice do you have on how you enjoy Miiverse?
- Whatâs your favorite community? Why?
- Which games are best integrated with Miiverse?

Personally, what I like the most about Miiverse is the people and the positive atmosphere (thanks, everyone)! Iâve seen many of you share some great advice and help each other out. All of your nice and honest comments have really encouraged me every time I made a post. Tom and I have worked on planning activities on Miiverse, but who really makes these activities fun is everyone that participates. Thank you very much for making Miiverse a unique and fun place!
I hope new users will have great experiences here like I do. I know there are many ways to enjoy Miiverse, but Iâll start a few of my tips for new usersâŠ
Tip #1:
Get connected with the developers of the games that you love!
If you love Mario, Pikmin, or any Nintendo games, youâll want to follow Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario games! Eiji Aonuma often shares the latest news about Zelda games, too!
Verified Miis have a green mark on the corner of their Mii icon, and you can search their names in the search engine, or you can simply click âGet the latest News here!â to see the latest posts from a variety of game developers!
Tip #2:
Add your favorite game community to your Favorites!
Just set up your favorite game community to your Favorites, so you can quickly listen or join in on the latest conversations about your favorite games! Itâs simple- just click on the âFavoriteâ button at the top of the communityâs page! There is no limit to how many favorites you can add, so donât feel shy about clicking that Favorite button!
Tip #3:
Add more personality to your profile by setting your favorite post to become the background photo at the top of your profile page!
You can add a screenshot or drawing to your profile! To add the image to your profile, just click the setting option (the button that looks like a wrench) and select âSet as a favorite postâ after you make a post.
I actually enjoy checking out profiles because itâs fun seeing how everyoneâs enjoying their games, and sometimes thereâs some great artwork displayed, too!
Tip #4:
Miiverse is where you can share your gaming experience!
I used to jump around my room that scared my dog when I achieved something very challenging in a game, but now I express my feelings with other gamers by posting comments like âYay! After an hour of hard work, I finally completed this stage! Awesome!â You might even get comments or Yeahs from someone who plays the same game!
Tip #5:
Donât forget to say âthank youâ if someone helps you out. A small sign of appreciation goes a long way, soâŠthank you, Miiverse!
Lastly, this is actually the most important!
To help keep Miiverse a fun place for everyone, please remember to read the Miiverse Code of Conduct thoroughly and follow the rules. The Miiverse Code of Conduct explains whatâs not allowed on Miiverse like posting personal information, which also includes your friend codes for your Nintendo 3DS systems. On the Wii U, you can find the Miiverse Code of Conduct under the Settings/Other option in the User Menu, and in the User Menu for Nintendo 3DS.
I hope you have great holidays, everyone!
Thank you, everyone!
