A couple of returning features from Pokémon X and Y.
☆ NintendObs Weekly – Monday, October 13, 2014 – Sunday, October 19, 2014.
The PlayNav
The PlayNav application lets you trade Pokémon, do battle with others, use the Super Training app, and have fun in Pokémon-Amie, where you can lavish your Pokémon with attention.
You can choose which PlayNav function to use via the lower screen on your Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 2DS system anytime outside of battles and special events.
The Player Search System
By using the Player Search System, called the PSS, you can enjoy trading Pokémon and battling with players near you as well as other players far across the world!
You can also use a variety of other communication-based features, like your O-Powers and the Holo Caster. You can connect between Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, but that’s not all—PSS also connects you to players of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y!
Battle Spot
In Battle Spot, you can use your Internet connection to battle against other players from around the world. There are Free Battles, which you can take part in easily at any time, and Rating Battles, whose results will be recorded to decide your ranking. Use both formats to prepare yourself to take part in online competitions.
The GTS
The GTS is a feature that allows you to trade Pokémon with other Trainers around the world. Players decide the Pokémon they want to offer and the Pokémon they’re seeking. If a trade partner is found anywhere in the world who meets the player’s conditions, a trade can be carried out! You can even receive Pokémon in trades that aren’t yet registered in your own Pokédex. Use the GTS to keep on collecting more Pokémon!
Wonder Trade
With Wonder Trade, select one of your Pokémon and offer it for trade; it will immediately be traded for someone else’s Pokémon somewhere in the world. It’s a mystery what Pokémon you’ll get in return in this thrilling form of trade. You won’t find out until it arrives in your game! Perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to receive a rare Pokémon you’ve never even dreamed of!
O-Powers
O-Powers are special powers that help you along in your adventure. They come in several different varieties: Powers that might raise your Pokémon’s stats temporarily, powers that make it easier to encounter wild Pokémon, powers that let your Pokémon gain more Exp. Points, and powers that produce more prize money after battles.
You don’t have to keep your O-Powers solely for yourself, either. You can choose to use them on other people around you, and you can receive them from other people who are using them on themselves.
Shout-Out
This function lets you share your happiness and accomplishments with other players. Your Shout-Out will be displayed to other players nearby or connected to the Internet.
