Charge into battle with Hyrule’s greatest warriors in Hyrule Warriors, out now for Wii U! When Hyrule is overrun by enemies under the command of Cia the Dark Sorceress, Link, Impa, Zelda and many more characters from The Legend of Zelda series must work together to vanquish the evil armies and bring peace back to the land.
Blending the lore of The Legend of Zelda with the over-the-top action of the Dynasty Warriors series, Hyrule Warriors throws you right into the thick of a battle for Hyrule against thousands of enemies. Take down entire armies with spectacular special moves, use familiar items in surprising new ways, and square off against boss characters in battles that require strategy as well as strength. But it’s not all about beating the most bad guys; it’s more important to retain control over the battle as a whole by capturing key parts of the battlefield and assisting your allies to keep morale high!
Take control of many characters from The Legend of Zelda series, including some that have never previously been playable such as Impa, Midna and Darunia – and even villains like Ganondorf! Each character has their own unique combat style, special moves and weaponry, and their abilities and arsenals can be upgraded as they gain experience in battle.
Take on armies all by yourself or team up to fight side-by-side with a friend in co-operative multiplayer in all modes – one player can take to battle on the television, while another can use their own screen with the Wii U GamePad. Whether you’re advancing the story in Legend Mode, replaying cleared missions with any unlocked characters in Free Mode or exploring the map of the original The Legend of Zelda in the unique Adventure Mode, strength in numbers is key to saving Hyrule!
A free software update is now available to download that adds a fun new mode, new weapon and the option to select music. The Hero of Hyrule Pack is also available to pre-purchase from launch, which gives access to all future Hyrule Warriors add-on content, plus a Dark Link costume to download straight away. Look out for more updates on add-on content that is planned for future release.
