Dat price drop though. Along with another wave of new titles it completely changed the look of the top 50.

Super Mario Maker's traction brought back Captain Toad, 3D World and Taiko no Tatsujin on Wii U to the Japanese top 50.

I wonder why the original Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in Japan outsold the newly-released bargain edition of the game.
