Fun tidbit. Dog cries ("Woof!") are pronounced "Wan!" in Japanese, so since that sounds like "one" in English, that's why they're using the dog to emphasize the game's January 11 (1.11) release date.
I doubt the Western special edition is going to be that exhaustive.
I'm pretty sure that's going to be the first JRPG on Nintendo consoles with Motoi Sakuraba on the soundtrack since the GameCube era.
