That sequence live was absolutely magical.
"We concluded that simply placing rocks somewhere isn't intriguing or challenging enough to be rewarding, even if you were to find them. Instead, we suggested hiding some small creatures there for the finding."

The map in Breath of the Wild is roughly the size of the city of Kyoto.
They started working on the game in January 2013, the same month when they announced it in a Nintendo Direct.
