Born to one royal family, raised by another, you’re caught between two kingdoms on the brink of war. In Fire Emblem Fates, out now exclusively on Nintendo 3DS family systems, you must decide where your loyalties lie and choose which family to stand with. See both sides of the conflict and start learning about this ambitious strategy game at our official Fire Emblem Fates website!
Lead your forces onto the battlefield and strategically manoeuvre units into position to face opposing armies in exciting turn-based skirmishes where just a few wrong moves can lead to defeat. Build relationships between your allies by pairing them up on the battlefield, and in time they’ll support each other strongly in combat. Plus, certain characters can use the powers of a dragon in battle, or alter certain parts of the map to turn situations to their advantage: they might dry up a river, open up a new path, or something else unexpected!
New to Fire Emblem Fates, you can now construct and customise your own castle as a home base. Here you can shop for weapons, chat with your troops and practise your skills by defending your castle against sieges from the armies of players you encounter via StreetPass! If you tap compatible amiibo (sold separately), fan-favourite Fire Emblem characters will also appear in your castle. You can receive special items the first two times you tap in an amiibo character, and challenge the character to battle the third time. If you defeat them, they might even join your army!
There are several sides to the story in Fire Emblem Fates, which can be explored in three unique story paths. Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest and Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright are available to purchase from launch, while Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation will be available to purchase as downloadable content from June 9th 2016.* New maps will also be available to purchase as downloadable content over the coming months. You can learn all about the upcoming extra content at the Fire Emblem Fates website’s DLC & Revelation section.
In Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS, the game is simply known as Fire Emblem Fates. At a certain point of the game you will have to choose your story path, determining which version of the game you own. Whether you choose to purchase at retail or from Nintendo eShop, after selecting your path, you can then choose to purchase the other story paths as downloadable content from Nintendo eShop.*
If you purchase Fire Emblem Fates from Nintendo eShop before 16/06/2016 at 23:59 (UK time), you can also receive a bonus ‘Fire Emblem Fates: Two Kingdoms’ HOME Menu Theme.**
Put your loyalties on the line, prepare to make a choice that could decide a bitter conflict and find out everything you need to know at our official Fire Emblem Fates website. Whichever side you choose, hours of strategic battles await in Fire Emblem Fates, only on Nintendo 3DS family systems.
