Find Cool Pokémon Like Rayquaza, Gible, and Deino during Pokémon GO’s Ultra Unlock Weeks
By completing challenges during Pokémon GO Fest 2020, Trainers can earn three weeks’ worth of exciting events.

The upcoming Pokémon GO Fest 2020 event is chock-full of fun challenges and cool rewards for Pokémon GO players all over the world—including earning the Ultra Unlock bonus! On Saturday, July 25—the first day of Pokémon GO Fest—there will be 32 Global Challenge Arena challenges for Pokémon GO Fest ticket holders to complete. For every eight challenges they complete, they’ll unlock an additional Ultra Unlock event week for all Trainers, up to a maximum of three weeks of events. You can track Global Challenge Arena progress in the Today View when Pokémon GO Fest 2020 begins.
Each of the three weeks has its own theme, with featured Pokémon appearing in the wild and hatching from Eggs, powerful Pokémon appearing in Raid Battles (including Legendary Pokémon and Mythical Pokémon), and the discovery of Shiny Pokémon new to the world of Pokémon GO! Trainers can unlock the following themed weeks:
- Ultra Unlock Week One: Dragon Week
- Ultra Unlock Week Two: Enigma Week
- Ultra Unlock Week Three: Unova Week
Ultra Unlock Week One: Dragon Week
If GO Fest ticket holders complete eight global challenges, they’ll unlock Dragon Week for all Trainers. This week will celebrate Dragon-type Pokémon, as well as other Pokémon that share their majesty. Dragon Week will run from Friday, July 31, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT to Friday, August 7, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT.
During Dragon Week, Alolan Exeggutor, Horsea, Dratini, Trapinch, Swablu, and Bagon will be appearing more frequently in the wild. You might even find a Gible in the wild! Horsea, Dratini, Trapinch, Swablu, and Bagon will be hatching from 7 km Eggs, and you might hatch a Gible or a Deino if you’re lucky. You might even find a Shiny Deino! Additionally, the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza will be appearing in five-star raids.
Not only that, but from Friday, July 31, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Friday, August 7, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT, special Timed Research will be available. If you complete it, you’ll earn encounters with two Deino. What a Deino-mite bonus!
Other Ultra Unlock Weeks
If GO Fest ticket holders complete 16 global challenges, they’ll unlock Enigma Week for all Trainers, which will run from Friday, August 7, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT to Friday, August 14, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT. During this time, you’ll be able to encounter mysterious Pokémon like Deoxys and Elgyem. You’ll even have the chance to catch some elusive Unown! Be on the lookout for Unown U, L, T, R, and A.
If GO Fest ticket holders complete 24 global challenges, all Trainers will be able to participate in Unova Week, which will take place from Friday, August 14, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Friday, August 21, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT. This week will celebrate Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region. The Mythical Pokémon Genesect will appear in five-star raids, and if you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Genesect. Plus, Sewaddle, Cottonee, Emolga, and Bouffalant will be making their Pokémon GO debut during this event.
