Hello, this is Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo!
We released PIKMIN Short Movies on Nintendo eShop just the other day. Even if you haven’t played the game yet, I would like to ask for your help in showing off the charm of Pikmin!
The theme for this drawing challenge is “Pikmin Spotted!”
Use your imagination and have fun drawing Pikmin in different situations. For example, imagine what the Pikmin might be doing if you found them in real life. What sort of mischief would they get into? I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Guidelines:
- Pictures must be drawn using Art Academy: SketchPad, which is available for purchase on Nintendo eShop.
- Pictures must feature characters appearing in the Pikmin series.
- Entries are limited to one original work per person.
- Comment on this post to submit your entry.
Remember, this is a global event, so please avoid using writing in your work.
This event will end on November 30, 2014 or when the number of comments reaches a thousand, whichever comes first.
The development team will review the entries, and our favorite works will be chosen based on the skill, artistic expression, originality, and creativity of the author. Our favorite works will be announced in this community in mid-December.
Note: If you submit a drawing as a comment to this post, you grant Nintendo the royalty-free right to publish your drawing online and offline.
You will need to own Art Academy: SketchPad to submit your work. However, anyone can participate by browsing the wonderful artwork and giving Yeahs to their favorite drawings.
We will take into account not only artistic skills but the originality of your ideas, so don’t be shy about submitting your drawing even if you are not confident in your drawing skills!
