Play upcoming Nintendo Switch games at MCM London Comic Con!

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate all playable at the event and @NintendoUKVS hosts the next Splatoon 2 UK Championship 2018 qualifier tournament directly from the @NintendoUKVS tournament Zone.

Attendees at MCM London Comic Con will have the first chance to go hands-on with New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, which launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on 11th January 2019.

 

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will all be playable at the show alongside a selection of other Nintendo Switch titles including Super Mario Party, Mario Tennis Aces, EA SPORTS™ FIFA 19, Fortnite and more! MCM London Comic Con takes place 26-28 October 2018 at ExCeL London.

Alongside these games the Nintendo stand will also play host to the @NintendoUKVS Tournament Zone. A range of social competitive activities will take place over the weekend, including the next Splatoon 2 UK Championship 2018 qualifier tournament taking place within the @NintendoUKVS Tournament Zone on Saturday 27th October.

This tournament will offer qualifier spots in both the Inkling League, for teams of players aged 13 and under, and the Octo League, for teams of any age. The winning team in each qualifier will progress to the @NintendoUKVS presents Splatoon 2 UK Championship 2018 Grand Final, taking place on 24-25 November at MCM Birmingham Comic Con. Featuring a special guest appearance by Splatoon 2 Producer Hisashi Nogami and a whole host of special activities taking place, this is set to be the UK’s biggest, boldest and most ink-redible two day celebration of all things Splatoon! We’re accepting pre-registration for both leagues from full teams of 4 or 5 people. To secure your team’s place in the tournament please send an email to NintendoCommunity@Nintendo.co.uk with the subject line “Splatoon 2 Tournament MCM London”, providing the names or tags of your team members* alongside the league you are pre-registering for. Please note that you will need to purchase a ticket to enter MCM London Comic Con, which you can do at the MCM London Comic Con website.

Teams can also still register at the event from 2pm on Friday 26th October, if there is space available. For players not in full teams that attend the event and wish to compete, we will endeavour to match any squids for hire with others looking to create a team if there is space in the tournament.

On Saturday 27th October we will be livestreaming from the @NintendoUKVS Tournament Zone, all the action from the Splatoon 2 UK Championship 2018 qualifier tournament for interested Inklings that can’t attend MCM London Comic Con at Twitch.tv/NintendoUK and YouTube.com/NintendoUK. Additionally, if you need to catch up with the competition so far, simply head to the Splatoon 2 UK Championship 2018 hub.

 

So, for those coming to MCM London Comic Con, start practising your Poké Ball throws, study those Super Smash Bros. strategies, and prepare your strongest friendships for Super Mario Party.
