Pokémon GO is a great reason to get outside, explore the world around you, and have a ton of fun catching and battling Pokémon. Now there’s even more to enjoy with the arrival of Pokémon GO Community Day! This monthly worldwide event is dedicated to celebrating the vast community of Trainers that have made it their quest to master Pokémon GO.
Once a month, Pokémon GO Community Day will feature a special Pokémon with an event-exclusive move. For a few hours, that Pokémon will appear frequently around the world. For this first Pokémon GO Community Day on January 20, Trainers will be able to catch a Pikachu that knows Surf.
That’s not all! During Community Day hours, Lure Modules will last for three hours and other bonuses will be activated. This inaugural Community Day will give Trainers the chance to earn double XP during event hours. Check below to find out when the event hours fall in your region of the world:
- The Asia-Pacific region: January 20, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9)

When you share your experiences on social media, don’t forget to use the hashtag #PokemonGOCommunityDay to make sure that everyone sees your accomplishments.
