Put on your waterproof boots and prepare to wade through the Flooded Forest and confront slippery new foes in Monster Hunter Rise.
It’s also time to start getting your Nintendo Switch ready for your first taste of Monster Hunter Rise with the free, public demo that will be released in January.
In our last Monster Hunter Rise trailer and blog, we introduced the main story and setting, the all-new Shrine Ruins locale and the new core gameplay mechanics: Wirebug and Palamute. Now, it’s time to expand the horizons and unveil the marshy wetlands of the Flooded Forest.
Of course, as new areas are introduced, we are bound to see new life inhabit them and fight to protect their turf. In addition to returning favorite swamp-dwellers Royal Ludroth and Great Wroggi, today we also met the intoxicating Somnacanth and the trickster Bishaten.

We also got another look at our preparations for the impending Rampage, including a glimpse at the Stronghold. Are you ready to face a huge stampede of monsters?

We know you’re itching to get your hands on Monster Hunter Rise, so we’re preparing a free demo to give you a little taste of what we have in store. All we can say for now is the demo is slated for a January 2021 release, so stay tuned!
