Track Down Shiny Skwovet and More in Max Raid Battles
The Berry-loving Pokémon is the star of a weekend-long event in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

Things are getting nuts in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. From Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. PST through Sunday, November 22, 2020, at 3:59 p.m. PST, Skwovet will appear much more frequently in Max Raid Battles. While you’re battling this Cheeky Pokémon, you’ll even have a better chance of encountering a Shiny Skwovet! During this event, you’ll also notice an increased number of Cherubi, Amoonguss, Shiinotic, and Greedent showing up in Max Raid Battles. These Pokémon must be very hungry, because Berries will be plentiful as Max Raid Battle rewards all weekend long, too.
For an opportunity to encounter these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, you’ll need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet through Y-Comm or by selecting Mystery Gift in the X menu, then selecting Get the Wild Area News. After that, whenever you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokémon Den, you can walk up to the Pokémon Den and interact with it to start a Max Raid Battle with a Dynamax Pokémon. This event does not affect the Pokémon encountered within Dynamax Adventures.
