To this day I still don’t understand why it is specifically Ash’s Pikachu they’re going after. But to be fair, Pikachu is the true protagonist of the anime. 🙃

Pokémon GO players are getting an extra dose of Unova region goodness right now thanks to the third week of Ultra Unlock festivities. And, of course, the villainous Team GO Rocket also tried to take over Pokémon GO Fest recently. Combine that with the unexpected arrival of a mysterious Meowth-shaped balloon in Pokémon GO, and this is the perfect time to relive some of Team Rocket’s most nefarious capers in the Unova region on Pokémon TV.
This collection of classic episodes of Pokémon the Series features the troublesome trio of Jessie, James, and Meowth once again out to swipe Ash’s Pikachu, but they also have plans to power a mecha by exploiting Roggenrola, steal Water-type Pokémon by entering a fishing competition, capture ancient Pokémon with the help of a stolen Cover Fossil, and more. There’s even a special six-episode story arc where Meowth abandons Team Rocket and joins up with Ash and his friends. But does the devious Pokémon have ulterior motives behind his sudden betrayal?
