Sometimes you want to stay immersed in a game but also step away from the main narrative. That’s where minigames come in—namely fishing minigames! So, grab your rod and tackle, because we’ve wrangled up a few games where you can take a break and cast your line.

Fortnite:

Jump in to be the last one standing in the free 100-player Battle Royale. Build huge forts. Outwit your opponents. Earn your Victory. Now, you can splash down into Chapter 2 – Season 3! Take on attacking bands of Marauders, waterski, and of course, do some fishing for items!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons:

Escape to a deserted island and create your own paradise as you explore, create, and customize in the Animal Crossing™: New Horizons game. Get to know the island residents, garden, fish, decorate, search for fossils, and more!

Fire Emblem: Three Houses:

As a professor at the prestigious Officers Academy, you’ll have the ability to guide your students on and off the battlefield. When the weekend rolls around, spend time exploring the monastery to talk with characters, take on quests, attend seminars, and more. You can even try catching fish at the pond!

STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town:

Your farming life begins in Mineral Town, a charming village surrounded by nature. You’ve returned after many years to restore your late grandfather’s farm to its former glory. Care for crops, go fishing, and more as your very own story unfolds.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening:

No one wants to be shipwrecked, but there are worse places to be stranded than beautiful Koholint Island. One of the first stops for tourists on Koholint Island is usually the local fishing hole. Try your hand at landing the big one—or even a Fairy Bottle!

Stardew Valley:

Create the farm of your dreams in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you can raise animals, craft items, or tend to crops—the choice is yours! Head down to The Beach to get fishing supplies from Willy’s shop and some advice on angling.

Torchlight II:

Explore vast overland areas and multiple hub towns as you fight through rain and snow, day and night. Level randomization ensures fresh layouts, treasure, and monsters each time you play. As you adventure, keep an eye out for fishing holes.

Neon Abyss:

As a member of the “Grim Squad,” a task force created by Hades himself, you’ll attempt to infiltrate the Abyss and defeat the New Gods. Persevere to unlock rooms in the dungeon. From dance competitions to fishing, each room has different rules and mechanics.

Summer in Mara:

Discover the story of Koa as you farm, craft, and explore a group of tropical islands. Customize your island while you encounter numerous quests, meet new friends, and use various types of bait to catch a variety of fish.
