The kingdom has been ravaged by an origami menace! In the Paper Mario: The Origami King game, join Mario and his new partner, Olivia, as they battle evil Folded Soldiers, repair the damaged landscape, and try to free Princess Peach’s castle from the clutches of King Olly.
Origami, you say?
Paper Mario: The Origami King is a comedy-filled adventure where Mario and his allies explore creative, paper-crafted lands. Their mission is to unbind Princess Peach’s castle from five mysterious paper streamers: This will take our daring heroes to all sorts of crafty areas. Lucky for Mario, a new character named Olivia has also decided to join the fight against her brother, King Olly. It’s a journey of laughter, emotion, thrills, and a whole lot of folding.
How do you battle?
It’s time to ring around the…Goomba? This game has turn-based battles with a literal twist! You’ll take on the Folded Soldiers in ring-based battles that challenge you to strategically spin and slide the arena to line up enemies. It will take a dash of puzzle solving and some quick-thinking to maximize your damage.
Out of battle, Mario can also use the arm-extending 1,000-Fold Arms ability in specific spots to interact with the landscape to pull, peel, hit, and more!
