Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield players can challenge Trainers from around the world in the International Friendly Online Competition. This competition, which runs from Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. PDT until Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, will use similar rules and regulations as the current Championship Series format. This competition is a great opportunity to see how you can do in a format similar to the Video Game Championships without the pressure of Championship Points up for grabs. In addition to battling for pride, Trainers who complete at least one battle in the International Friendly will earn 50 Battle Points.

Battles will use the Double Battle Format, and players will be permitted to use Pokémon No. 001–397 in the Galar Pokédex, as well as Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Slowpoke (Galarian Form), Rowlet, Dartrix, Decidueye, Litten, Torracat, Incineroar, Popplio, Brionne, and Primarina. The following Pokémon capable of Gigantamaxing may be also used: Charizard, Butterfree, Pikachu, Meowth, Machamp, Gengar, Kingler, Lapras, Eevee, Snorlax, Garbodor, Corviknight, Orbeetle, Drednaw, Coalossal, Flapple, Appletun, Sandaconda, Toxtricity, Centiskorch, Hatterene, Grimmsnarl, Alcremie, Copperajah, and Duraludon.

The sign-up period will last from Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. PDT until Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Remember that entry into the competition is not allowed once the competition has started, so be sure to sign up before the event begins.
