Wanna get your feet wet in fast-paced, messy ink battles? Do you have tentacles instead of feet? No matter your answer, the Splatoon™ 2 Special Demo 2020 may be for you! The demo event will be active:
4/29 (Wed) 11:00 p.m. PT – 5/6 (Wed) 6:59 a.m. PT
During the demo event, you’ll be able to jump online* and fight it out in 4-on-4 Turf War battles with friends and other players who own the full game. You can also try out Ranked Battles and the Salmon Run co-op mode.

Just note that you’ll need an internet connection and a Nintendo Switch Online membership to participate in the event. But if you don’t have a membership, please keep reading! There are several offers to cover today.
Free 7-day trial for Nintendo Switch Online
By downloading the demo from Nintendo eShop, you can receive a free 7-day trial for Nintendo Switch Online. After downloading the demo, you’ll receive an e-mail with a Nintendo eShop code for a 7-day free trial for Nintendo Switch Online. To activate it, please enter the code into Nintendo eShop. It doesn’t matter if you’ve activated a previous free trial—you are still eligible for this trial too.
Splatoon 2 sale
During the special demo timeframe, you can grab the digital version of Splatoon 2 at a 30% discount. The progress you make during the demo event will carry over to the full game, so don’t worry about losing progress. Also, you don’t need to play the demo to get the deal, so please check it out on Nintendo eShop if you’re interested.
Splatfest: Mayo vs. Ketchup
And finally, we have one last piece of news. A bonus Splatfest will be taking place from May 22nd to May 24th! It will revisit the theme of the very first Splatfest for the Splatoon 2 game: Mayo vs. Ketchup. Ah, memories…
During the event, you’ll be able to champion one of these important causes. The Turf War victories you secure will help your side out. The full version of Splatoon 2, an internet connection, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership are required to participate.
The event will take place:
5/22 (Fri) 3 p.m. PT – 5/24 (Sun) 3 p.m. PT
And just as a reminder, Team Mayo took the crown the first time. We’ll see if Team Ketchup can ketch-up this time around….
