Time to grab a friend and burn some rubber! A new update to the Mario Kart Tour game for smart devices brings team-racing fun to real-time multiplayer.

Version 2.1.0 of the app adds ways to hit the track for cooperative multiplayer fun, whether it’s with friends nearby, friends online, or other racers online:

  • In Team Races, up to four teams of two racers can compete for the high score. Teammates are immune from friendly fire in this mode, so fling those Red Shells with abandon and take out your competitors!
  • The newly added Room Code feature lets you create your own custom room and share the code with friends and family for a match with up to eight players.

Players can also earn Grand Stars from multiplayer modes, which are good towards unlocking rewards in the single-player mode.

Be sure to update your app to version 2.1.0 today to get started!
