Pokémon GO’s March Community Day Features Abra

Catch a lot of Abra during this month’s Community Day event, and get Alakazam that know an exclusive attack.

March 04, 2020

Pokémon GO‘s March Community Day will feature the Psychic-type Pokémon Abra. This event starring the elusive Psi Pokémon will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time in the northern hemisphere and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time in the southern hemisphere.

Abra will show up in the wild and in raids much more frequently during the Community Day hours, and there’s a better chance that Abra you encounter will be Shiny. Plus, if you evolve Kadabra (the evolved form of Abra) into Alakazam during the event or up to two hours afterward, the Alakazam will know an exclusive attack that it normally can’t learn.

Additionally, Lure Modules activated during the event will last three hours, and you’ll receive three times the usual Catch XP.

This month, there’s also a new twist to the Community Day experience. A Community Day–exclusive Special Research story titled Investigating Illusions can be unlocked in your game for $1 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency). Complete it to earn 13,000 Stardust, a Poffin, a Rocket Radar, and other rewards. Stay tuned for when tickets go live!

Check back soon to find out the name of the exclusive attack, and have fun looking for Abra on Community Day, Trainers!
