You can’t catch this Mewtwo, but it might give you some rare items, like Ability Capsules.
☆ NintendObs Event – Pokémon Day 2020.
Dynamax Forms of Mewtwo, Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Squirtle, and Wartortle in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Max Raid Battles
These battles will be tough, so be sure to get friends to help!
February 27, 2020
Starting Wednesday, February 26, at 4:00 p.m. PST and going until Sunday, March 1, at 3:59 p.m. PST, a Dynamax Mewtwo will appear in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Max Raid Battles. This Mewtwo is incredibly powerful—you’ll want to join up with other Trainers if you want to defeat it. What’s more, it won’t ever let its guard down, even when defeated. No Trainer will be able to catch it! It’s still worth taking on this Mewtwo, though, for if you manage to defeat it in Max Raid Battles, you might receive some rare items, like Ability Capsules.
Mewtwo’s not the only Pokémon that’ll be showing up during this time. You might also see Dynamaxed specimens of Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Squirtle, and Wartortle in Max Raid Battles. Unlike with Mewtwo, you’ll get an opportunity to catch these Pokémon if you manage to defeat them. Use this event to team up with friends and take on some rare Pokémon!
Remember that to challenge these Pokémon in Max Raid Battles, you need to have received the latest information about the Wild Area. You can get the latest information about the Wild Area anytime you connect your Nintendo Switch to the internet. Alternatively, you’ll be able to manually download the latest data anytime by opening the X menu in your game and selecting Mystery Gift and then Get the Wild Area News.
Good luck battling Mewtwo and more great Pokémon in Max Raid Battles until March 1.
