Whether you’re battling, trading, or simply exploring, Pokémon GO is more fun when you’re playing with friends. From Friday, February 21, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, February 24, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. in your local time zone, the friendship weekend event will allow you and your friends to celebrate the bonds you’ve formed.
Throughout the event weekend, your friendship levels will increase twice as fast, making it easier to deepen your connections with your pals. It’ll also be a great time to make any Pokémon trades you’ve been meaning to do, as trades will reward you twice the normal Candies and require only half the regular amount of Stardust.
To further help you raise your friendship levels during this event, you’ll be able to carry up to 20 Gifts at a time and open up to 40 Gifts each day. Be sure to visit lots of PokéStops to stock up on Gifts to send to your friends!
