Enter the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield International Challenge February Online Competition

Compete for Championship Points against players from all over the world using the official battling format.

February 05, 2020

Compete in the International Challenge February against Trainers from around the world in the 2020 Pokémon Video Game Championship Series format. The International Challenge February is a great chance to practice for your next live tournament while competing for Championship Points toward qualification for the 2020 Pokémon World Championships. Plus, everyone who registers and completes at least one battle will get a fashionable T-shirt featuring their good friend Ball Guy for their Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield character to wear.

The sign-up period will last from Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. PST until Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 3:59 p.m. PST. Entry into the competition is not allowed once the competition has started, so be sure to sign up before the event begins. You’ll also need to link your Pokémon Trainer Club account to your Nintendo Account before registering for the tournament in order to earn Championship Points. You’ll still be able to compete if you don’t link your accounts, but you won’t be eligible to earn Championship Points.

Like in all Video Game Championships tournaments, battles in the International Challenge February will use the Double Battle format. However, only Pokémon caught in the Galar region will be eligible to compete. And unlike at live events, players in this competition will be permitted to use Charizard with both the Gigantamax Factor and the Solar Power Ability.

Make sure to try your luck in this Online Competition and see how you stack up internationally.
