If you’re looking for a few games to get creative with, there are lots of options on the Nintendo Switch™ system. Whether you’re looking to make a dream home or create a city from the ground up, we’ve put together a list of building games that may inspire you to get creative.

Super Mario Maker 2:

Put on your hard hat and get creative with the Super Mario Maker™ 2 game! Play single-player Story Mode, make and post your own courses, or try out an ever-growing number of player-made courses*. Boy, some of those courses can be tricky!

Minecraft:

Explore randomly-generated worlds and build amazing things from the simplest of homes to the grandest of castles. Craft, create, and explore alone, or with up to four** players in split-screen and up to eight online*.

DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2:

To stop the worshippers of an ancient evil, you must join forces with the mysterious Malroth and build a ravaged world into the realm of your dreams. Explore huge islands, gather and craft with materials, design towns, level them up, and defend them from monsters and bosses alongside townspeople.

Cities: Skyline – Nintendo Switch Edition:

Take on the role of mayor and build the city of your dreams from the ground up in Cities: Skyline – Nintendo Switch Edition. You’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements like education, healthcare, and much more along with your city’s real economy system.

Fortnite:

Jump in to be the last one standing in the free 100-player Battle Royale. Board the battle bus and drop in on your favorite zone. Gather resources, collect gear, and battle your opponents. Shape the battlefield by building your own cover or take out your opponent’s cover to get the edge.

Northgard:

The boldest Northmen have set sail to explore and conquer the new shores of Northgard, hopeful to bring fame to their Clan. That is, if they can survive the dire wolves and undead warriors roaming the land, befriend or defeat the giants, and survive the harshest winters ever witnessed.

My Time in Portia:

Armed with your Pa’s old handbook and workbench, you must gather, mine, and craft your way to being crowned the number one workshop in Portia. Help the locals rebuild the town and uncover the secrets locked deep beneath it. Be prepared though…the post-apocalyptic land doesn’t make it easy.

Terraria:

The world of Terraria is at your fingertips as you fight for survival, fortune, and glory. Delve deep into cavernous expanses, seek out ever-greater foes to test your mettle in combat, or construct your own city—the choice is yours!

Don’t Starve: Nintendo Switch Edition:

Enter a bizarre and unexplored world full of strange creatures, dangers, and surprises. Learn to exploit the environment and its inhabitants to escape and find your way back home. Do whatever it takes to survive, but most importantly, Don’t Starve!
