Shiny Zangoose, Shiny Seviper, and Mime Jr. Come to Pokémon GO

Catch up on collecting your region’s unique Pokémon, encounter Shiny Zangoose or Shiny Seviper, and witness Mime Jr.’s European debut during this special event.

September 25, 2019

September 27 is World Tourism Day, and this year Pokémon GO players all over the world will be able to celebrate with the Pokémon found in their region. From Thursday, September 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PDT, to Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PDT, there will be special Field Research tasks involving these Pokémon, and you’ll be able to hatch your region’s unique Pokémon from 5 km Eggs. Plus, Mime Jr. will be making its Pokémon GO debut. Trainers in Europe will be able to find the Mime Pokémon in 5 km Eggs (and there’s even a chance that you’ll hatch a Shiny Mime Jr.)!

While you’re out exploring, keep an eye out for Zangoose and Seviper, which will appear in the wild in their respective real-world regions. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Zangoose or a Shiny Seviper. Additionally, spinning a new PokéStop will give twice the regular amount of XP and trading Pokémon will cost 25% less Stardust. There will even be a new T-shirt available in the Style Shop to mark the occasion.

Have fun commemorating World Tourism Day in Pokémon GO, Trainers!
