Seven Days of Fighting-Type Fun in Pokémon GO

Get ready for a week-long battle bonanza in Pokémon GO that includes cool bonuses and more Fighting-type Pokémon.

March 06, 2019

If you’re itching for a clash, a week of battles in Pokémon GO will do you some good. From March 5 at 1 p.m. PST until March 12 at 1 p.m. PDT, you’ll earn great bonuses for battling against other Trainers. You’ll be able to earn up to five rewards per day (up from the usual three) and get guaranteed Rare Candy from Trainer Battles. You can also earn up to a maximum of three rewards per day (up from the usual one) when you spar against in-game team leaders. And during the week, you’ll earn double the Stardust for battling, catching Pokémon, and participating in Raid Battles so that you can toughen up your Pokémon for the upcoming challenges. Finally, you’ll accumulate XP toward Gym Badges at double the usual rate.

Coinciding with this event, Poliwrath, Hitmonchan, Kangaskhan, and Medicham will now be able to learn the move Power-Up Punch, giving even more oomph to their battling repertoire. New Field Research tasks that offer great rewards will also be available. Keep an eye out for them as you spin Photo Discs at different PokéStops.

Good luck with big battles in Pokémon GO starting March 5!
