Pokémon: ‘Feebas Makes a Splash in Pokémon Go’

NintendObserverIn the original games — Ruby and Sapphire –, it was one of the hardest Pokémon to find, and evolving it into Milotic was a chore, which contributed to Milotic’s rarity.

Feebas Makes a Splash in Pokémon GO

Discover a school of the raggedy Water-type Pokémon during a Limited Research event on January 19.

January 10, 2019

Poor Feebas may not be the most impressive-looking Pokémon around, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not filled with potential. Dedicated Pokémon GO Trainers will have a chance to unlock Feebas’s hidden beauty during a special Limited Research event on January 19, 2019. During the event hours, spinning a Photo Disc at a PokéStop will yield a Field Research task that concludes with an encounter with Feebas. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Feebas! Not too shabby!

Check below to find out when the event hours fall in your region of the world:

  • Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: January 19, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC
  • The Americas: January 19, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST
  • The Asia-Pacific region: January 19, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST

Don’t worry if you aren’t able to complete these special Field Research tasks during the event hours. As long as they’ve been assigned to you, you’ll be able to finish them at your leisure. And during this Limited Research event, remember—once you receive a Field Research task from a PokéStop, you won’t be able to get a new task from that same PokéStop on that day. So, if you want to catch a lot of Feebas, you’ll need to get out and explore!
