Catch Clamperl At Long Last in Pokémon GO
Add a pearl of a Pokémon to your collection by completing tasks during a three-hour Field Research event on February 23.
February 19, 2019
One of the final Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region will be making its long-awaited debut in Pokémon GO, but you’ll have to act fast to catch it!
Spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops during a special event on February 23, 2019, will yield Field Research tasks that conclude in an encounter with Clamperl. The Bivalve Pokémon has two potential Evolutions—Huntail and Gorebyss—but you won’t know which of the two Pokémon your Clamperl will become until its Evolution is complete. Be sure to catch as many Clamperl as you can during the event to add each of these Pokémon to your Pokédex.
Other Water-type Pokémon will also be more likely to appear during the event hours, and you’ll earn double the normal Stardust for catching any Water-type Pokémon, too.
Check below to find out when the event hours fall in your region of the world:
- Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. UTC (GMT +0)
- The Americas and Greenland: Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8)
- The Asia-Pacific region: Sunday, February 24, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9)
Don’t worry if you aren’t able to complete these Field Research tasks during the event hours. As long as they’ve been assigned to you, you’ll be able to finish them at your leisure. Don’t forget that once you receive a Field Research task from a PokéStop, you won’t be able to get a new task from that same PokéStop on that day. You’ll have to get out and explore if you want to catch a lot of Clamperl!
