Discover Meltan and More in Pokémon GO

A variety of special bonuses appear in Pokémon GO to celebrate the release of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!

November 16, 2018

Now that Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! have been released for Nintendo Switch, players are getting their first chance to learn more about the Mythical Pokémon Meltan. Professor Willow has even started asking for assistance with some new Special Research, so get out there and help track down information about this mysterious Steel-type Pokémon.

In addition to finding Meltan via Special Research, there are other ways to use Pokémon GO to find rare Pokémon that can then be transferred into the new Nintendo Switch titles. Starting November 27, 2018, new Field Research will be available that features Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region and not commonly found in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Also, during that time, Pokémon such as Omanyte and Kabuto may appear in the wild more frequently.

Finally, from November 23 at 1:00 p.m. PST to November 26 at 1:00 p.m. PST, the evolved forms of the two partner Pokémon from the Nintendo Switch titles will be appearing in Raid Battles. Look for certain Evolutions of Eevee—Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, and Umbreon—as well as Raichu and its Alolan form during this time.

Both the Field Research and the Raid Battles are good opportunities to catch some more Pokémon that can then be transferred into Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, so don’t miss out on these special events!
