Research Mew in Pokémon GO!
New objectives lead to exciting rewards and perhaps a Mythical encounter in the latest Pokémon GO update.

Pokémon GO Trainers will now need to step up their game with the arrival of the new research feature. Mysterious occurrences are popping up all over the world, and Professor Willow needs collaborators to help with his research so he can figure out what’s going on. Rumors are swirling that these strange happenings might somehow be connected to the Mythical Pokémon Mew!
There are two types of research that Trainers can help with: Field Research and Special Research. Field Research tasks can be found by spinning a PokéStop. Trainers will receive objectives to complete, such as discovering and catching certain Pokémon or engaging in battles. Professor Willow will present the Special Research himself with story-driven activities that will take Trainers further into the world of Pokémon GO than ever before!
There’s no limit to the number of research tasks that can be completed each day, and they grant rewards such as useful items. The more difficult the task, the greater the reward, so hard-working Trainers will benefit quite a bit. When Trainers complete Field Research tasks, they’ll earn a special stamp. Trainers can do as many research tasks as they want, but they can earn only one stamp per day. Collecting seven stamps achieves a Research Breakthrough, leading to even more rewards (and maybe even an encounter with a Legendary Pokémon)!
With the new research objectives in Pokémon GO, Trainers will have more reasons than ever to get outside to discover, battle, and catch Pokémon. Have fun with Pokémon research—and good luck to all in discovering the mystery behind Mew!
