Kyogre and Groudon Return to Pokémon GO

Get out and GO after some Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO Raid Battles.

February 23, 2018

The Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza is still soaring high above Gyms, and for a limited time, it’ll be joined by two other Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region. Kyogre and Groudon will be briefly returning to Gyms from February 23 until March 5, 2018. This special event is a great opportunity to add powerful Legendary Pokémon to your team.

Kyogre and Groudon won’t be the only attraction during this event. There will also be special limited-time item packs in the Pokémon GO in-game shop at a discounted rate.

You’ll also get a chance to hatch some rare Pokémon soon, and it’ll be up to you to determine which ones! If more Rayquaza are defeated than Kyogre and Groudon combined during the event, Pokémon that typically prefer windy weather, such as Bagon, will be more likely to be hatched from Eggs from March 5 to March 16. Pokémon that prefer sunny or rainy weather, like Trapinch or Lotad, will be more likely to be hatched if more Kyogre and Groudon are defeated during the event instead.

If you need help taking down these powerful foes, check out our tips for KyogreGroudon, and Rayquaza. Good luck, Trainers!
