It’s hard to believe the Pokémon Adventures manga series has been running for more than 20 years in Japan, and its North American anniversary is fast approaching. During that long history, illustrator Satoshi Yamamoto has created enough artwork to fill thousands of comic pages. What better way to commemorate the 20th anniversary of this beloved saga than with a beautiful art book?
Pokémon Adventures 20th Anniversary Illustration Book: The Art of Pokémon Adventures from VIZ is a 168-page collection of stunning art highlighting the dozens of Trainers and Pokémon that have appeared in the manga series. In addition to full-color individual character portraits, elaborate group shots, and dynamic action scenes, the book also features exclusive black-and-white sketches and storyboards that provide a behind-the-scenes look at how Mr. Yamamoto creates his magnificent illustrations.
