Four moves have been temporarily banned from all Play! Pokémon video game tournaments.

An issue was found in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon that sometimes affects certain moves. Four moves have been temporarily banned from all Play! Pokémon video game tournaments because of this issue. The bans are effective immediately, and are in effect until the release of version 1.2 of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon.
The four banned moves are:
- Curse
- Forest’s Curse
- Power Trick
- String Shot
