Pokémon Enters the Hall of Fame
The World Video Game Hall of Fame has selected the original Pokémon games for induction.

Pokémon has just received a huge honor as the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green games have been selected to enter the World Video Game Hall of Fame as one of the 2017 inductees. These games are being recognized for their popularity over a sustained period and their impact on popular culture. Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green will join the Hall of Fame alongside legendary video games such as Tetris, Pac-Man, and Super Mario Bros.
Special thanks to The Strong interactive play museum in Rochester, New York, home of the permanent World Video Game Hall of Fame exhibit. Stop in to see Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green on display next to all of the great games in the Hall of Fame.
