The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game is racing to Nintendo Switch consoles and we know just the way to celebrate.

For one month, Nintendo will host two special in-game tournaments in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game: one for 150cc races and one for Battle Mode. Both tournaments will start at 9 p.m. PT on 4/27 and run until 9 a.m. PT on 5/29. During this timeframe, you can climb the leaderboards by participating in a certain number of races or rounds. You don’t have to play all the races or rounds at the same time, so feel free to kart at your leisure!

To find a specific tournament, just head to the Online option in the game, select Tournaments, and then search for our tournament names (“NOA 150cc Tournament” or “NOA Battlethon”). These tournaments are open to anyone with the game and internet access, and available at no additional cost. You’ll also find leaderboard updates on the official Nintendo Twitter account, so please follow http://twitter.com/Nintendo if you’re interested. Here are some more tournament details:

Tournament Name: NOA 150cc Tournament

Tournament Code: 1164-2058-2955
Rules: No teams, normal items.
Conditions: Compete in 8 races to try and get the highest score. Opponents will shuffle every four matches.

Tournament Name: NOA Battlethon

Tournament Code: 5341-0615-2491
Rules: Normal items, normal CPU, round time is 3 minutes.
Conditions: Compete in 10 rounds to try and get the highest score. Opponents will shuffle every four matches.

And don’t forget that the in-game tournaments are just one of the fun features you’ll find in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! Rev up those engines because it has the largest roster of characters, karts, and tracks in Mario Kart series history. Battle Mode has also been turbocharged, so enjoy duking it out in Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast, Shine Thief, Coin Runners, and the all new Renegade Roundup.

Happy racing, everyone!
