Find out more about the fight ahead at our updated Metroid Prime: Federation Force gamepage!

The Space Pirates are up to their old tricks, once again proving to be an unpredictable threat that must be eliminated at all costs. In response to their latest campaign, the Galactic Federation authorises the creation of a new type of battle armour. These huge, mechanised exoskeletons, known as Mechs, can only be piloted by the highly trained marines of the Federation Force – and that’s where you come in! Get a fuller mission briefing in the Story section.

Metroid Prime Federation Force

Missions typically involve exploring your surroundings and clearing out any bad guys that you come across, but throughout the campaign you’ll also be tasked with solving puzzles, or asked to venture deep into ancient ruins to recover vital intel. In other operations, leave the safety of your Mech and sneak through bases undetected, slipping through defence systems and taking cover in places that a Mech couldn’t possibly fit. You’ll also come up against giant bosses on certain expeditions, which will take some serious firepower to defeat!

Learn what’s expected of a Federation Force soldier, including the importance of co-operation, and discover how to control and get the most out of your Mech in the Gameplay section. Plus, if you want to customise your Mech with unique paint jobs, you can visit our amiibo section to find out more!

Metroid Prime Blast BallDuring downtime between missions, Federation Force soldiers are encouraged to sharpen up their skills by playing a competitive, team-based sport called Blast Ball. In the Blast Ball section, learn more about this unique futuristic sport, in which players pilot their Mechs around the arena and shoot the ball using their blaster. The ultimate objective is to score three times in the opposition goal within the five minute time limit.

Band together with other players – or brave it on your own – and protect the galaxy by any means necessary. Visit our Metroid Prime: Federation Force gamepage to find out everything you need to know before your mission commences!

Metroid Prime: Federation Force will be available from shops and as a downloadable version from Nintendo eShop on September 2nd, only on Nintendo 3DS family systems.
