Experience a new kind of Pokémon battle in Pokkén Tournament, available now on Wii U. Pokkén Tournament brings versus fighting action to the world of Pokémon for the very first time, along with a roster of fan-favourite Pokémon to play as.
Choose your Pokémon and use their abilities to beat your opponent in exciting battles. Use Pikachu’s powerful electric shocks and quick movements to overwhelm opponents, pummel foes with Machamp’s unrivalled close-range combat skills, or burn rivals with the white-hot power of Charizard.
There are many ways to play Pokkén Tournament: dive into single-player mode Ferrum League and work your way up to prove you’re the best battle trainer around or you can take on friends and family in local* and online multiplayer** modes.
Pokkén Tournament is also compatible with any amiibo (sold separately)! When you tap an amiibo to the Wii U GamePad, you can get special bonuses such as the Poké Gold that you can use in the game to spend on avatar items or a title that will be displayed when you battle. You can use up to five unique amiibo per day!
Fans who purchase a first-run version of the game at retail will receive a limited edition Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card that immediately unlocks the character in the game after tapping it to the Wii U GamePad.
A Pokkén Tournament demo*** is also available to download from Nintendo eShop now, giving fans a chance to try out this new Pokémon battle!
