In Guitar Hero Live, you don’t have to be a rock star to experience the thrill of performing for a massive audience of adoring fans. Though, as our new live-action trailer will show, a little inside knowledge doesn’t hurt. To kick off the countdown to Guitar Hero Live’s October 20 launch, we teamed up with director Jonathan Krisel (Portlandia, SNL) to create a live-action trailer featuring none other than renowned actor and director James Franco and rock legend Lenny Kravitz. Watch as the two compete to win over the crowd in Guitar Hero Live’s first-person, live-action mode, GH Live, which lets players join real bands and play in front of real crowds that react dynamically to their performance:
Alongside the new GH Live mode featured in the trailer, Guitar Hero Live will also launch with GHTV; a 24-hour playable music video network that lets you play along to a continually updated collection of official videos, spanning a broad range of genres. Guitar Hero Live also comes bundled with a redesigned six-button guitar controller—check out our deep-dive into the controller’s new features to learn more.
Guitar Hero Live will make its debut on October 20 in North America and October 23 in Europe and will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and iOS devices, including iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
