The 2015 Pokémon TCG and Video Game World Championships begin Friday, August 21! Soon, well over a thousand players from around the world will be heading to Boston to compete for the title of World Champion. Fans are encouraged to come watch and cheer on their favorite players at this free event! Plus, there will be exciting side events open to all attendees, including the Worlds Boston Open, your first chance to earn Championship Points toward the 2016 Pokémon World Championships.
Everyone who attends Worlds can get a special Sharpedo for their Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire game! If you’re heading to the event, don’t forget to bring your system in the Nintendo 3DS family and your game. Look for signs at the event for how to get Sharpedo. Learn more about this distribution.
If you can’t make it to Worlds, you can still follow all the action on Pokemon.com! We’ll have live video streaming of matches for all three days, including every finals match. The streaming will include player interviews, expert commentary, and much more. We’ll also be posting standings and updates throughout the weekend. You can share your Worlds experiences via Twitter and Instagram, too. Visit the Worlds hub to stay on top of all the action from Boston!
The Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions concert tour will also be in Boston on Saturday, August 22. Experience the amazing music of the Pokémon games performed live by a full orchestra, with a special appearance by Junichi Masuda, Director at GAME FREAK inc.! Check out the Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions page for more information. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee an end time for Worlds matches on Saturday, and they could run past the start time of the concert.
