★ NintendObs Daily – Monday, November 4, 2019.

NintendObserver is a brand-new blog dedicated to the business of Nintendo. It is a one-man endeavor meant to understand the direction Nintendo is taking for the future of videogames.

At NintendObserver, you will not find any news to discuss on. The only news I’ll be reporting and covering will be:

  • weekly Nintendo eShop downloads (Europe on Mondays, North America on Thursdays),
  • weekly Media Create charts (top 20s on Wednesdays, top 50s on Fridays),
  • Nintendo Directs (straight from Nintendo of Europe, America and Japan’s Youtube accounts),
  • Nintendo quarter financial results briefings (presentations and Q&As),
  • …and that’s it. Other Nintendo-related news I might discuss at my own discretion. 🙂

I’ll also be producing the subsequent main original and regular content:

  • “NintendObservations Media Create” (congregating both weekly Media Create top 20s and top 50s) on weekends,
  • as well as a couple of other series that I see fit. 🙂

But above all, NintendObserver is the opportunity for me to voice my ideas on what I believe the future could bear from Nintendo, both in terms of business strategy and game development. On a somewhat random basis, I’ll be producing articles on topics such as… what could be the next F-Zero, or what might Nintendo be working on when it comes to dedicated user discounts. Why I think the next Fire Emblem will be a sequel to Fire Emblem Awakening on the Wii U. Why I think Nintendo will use Miiverse to maximize the Wii U’s attach rate and enhance the word-of-mouth experience. Why I think Monolith Soft’s X might end up being called “XenoWorld.” And why I think “Nintendo Fusion” might be for real and might be coming sooner than we think.

Eventually, I hope to reach a level of influence that will allow me to interview people that are actually working in videogames. People like Manfred Linzner of Shin’en for his technical knowledge, people like JP Kellams of Platinum Games to delve more into what it takes to enter the videogame industry. People that could help me learn more about the videogame business in order to make me a savvier gamer through their knowledge. And ultimately, I hope to foster the expertise required to start a career in videogames.

I hope you’ll appreciate what you’ll read here, and I wish you a great time!
