Join a band of unlikely heroes to rescue a troubled kingdom in DRAGON QUEST VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, coming to Nintendo 3DS family systems on January 20th, 2017. In this epic RPG adventure, you’ll roam a massive world, take on all manner of quests and clash with loads of unique monsters. A twisted jester has cast an evil spell over the kingdom of Trodain, turning the king into a troll, the princess into a horse and sealing Castle Trodain within enchanted vines! As the Hero, you’ll embark on a journey, recruiting allies along the way, to put a stop to this mischievous maniac and restore the kingdom to normal. As you lead a party of heroes across a massive world, don’t forget to explore each of the local towns, peruse all the shops and take on as many side quests as you can muster! See what sights and sounds await you in the kingdom of Trodain at our Adventure section.

Headstrong adventurers beware – medleys of beasts and baddies lurk in dingy dungeons and out in the field. If you bump into one, be ready to put up a fight in classic turn-based battles! Brush up on the basics and tune up your tactics at our Battles section.
