Observations on Media Create for the Week of June 25, 2018 – July 1, 2018
Even though the Switch made it over 50K a week, all of the games that left the charts were actually on Nintendo.
Even though the Switch made it over 50K a week, all of the games that left the charts were actually on Nintendo.
All of the titles that came back into the charts were on Nintendo Switch.
God Wars The Complete Legend actually launched better on Switch than it did on PlayStation 4.
Though the PS4 had the most games, Nintendo platforms as a whole got the majority with 26 titles.
Breath of the Wild just crossed one million units sold in Japan. Yay!
It took twelve new titles (at least counted as such) for the competition to have the most games in charts this time.
50% of the titles staying in charts are still on Nintendo Switch.
In just a little bit more than a year, Nintendo Switch titles represent half of Japan's best-selling titles.
Nearly half of the games in here -- 24 out of 50 -- are on Nintendo Switch for this year's Golden Week.
Just to reiterate: these charts are going to look red and gold pretty much from top to bottom the following week.
They made it. 30 out of 50 titles are on Nintendo.
As a side note, Steins Gate 0 made a comeback on both PlayStation platforms thanks to the anime adaptation that came out on the same week.
So that's 29 games out of 50 on Nintendo and I don't remember the last time Nintendo didn't have the majority of the games in charts.
Mario Kart 7 is actually still in the charts at this time.
Ooh, Mario Kart 7 came back around.
So long, Mario Kart 7. To my knowledge that's the first time you ever left the Japanese Top 50 in nearly seven years.
I just find it astonishing how franchises that would only stay for a few weeks in charts on the Wii U now manage to remain there for months on Nintendo Switch.
Nope. Mario Kart 7 ain't going nowhere.
What’s that? Mario Kart 7 about to leave the charts for the first time since at least 2014?
The software update delay might have negatively impacted the sales of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
