So the only controller allowed is the HORI Pro Pad, and if you don’t buy it you can’t compete in the Masters Division.

Duel at a Duo of Pokkén Tournament Events!
Two more Pokkén Tournament Championship Series competitions have been added in Seattle and St. Louis!
April 19, 2016
Hot on the announcement of the Pokkén Tournament event announced for DreamHack Austin, an additional two Pokkén Tournament competitions are on the way. Top finishers at these events will win an invitation to the Pokkén Tournament World Championships this August in San Francisco, CA, as well as great prizes! Along with DreamHack Austin and the Pokémon National Championships, these events will complete the North American Pokkén Tournament event schedule.
On May 15, the Spring Regional Championships in Seattle will also include Pokkén Tournament, joining the Pokémon TCG and video game action. The Pokkén Tournament portion of the event will take place on Sunday, May 15. This competition is a minor event in the Pokkén Tournament Championship Series, and all players will be grouped into a single Masters Division. You can register in advance for the Pokkén Tournament event here.
Another Pokkén Tournament event will take place June 18–19 at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, Illinois, just outside of St. Louis. Dubbed the St. Louis Showdown, this event will feature Pokkén Tournament battles as the main attraction. This competition is also a minor event in the Pokkén Tournament Championship Series, and all players will be separated into Masters and Senior Divisions. You can register in advance for the St. Louis Showdown here.
Masters Division players must bring their own controllers. Currently the only permitted controller is the Pokkén Tournament Pro Pad by HORI. Controllers will be provided to Senior Division competitors.
Be sure to update your Pokkén Tournament game to the latest version to ensure that you are comfortable with the gameplay adjustments that have been made.
Good luck battling in Seattle and St. Louis for a chance to win an invitation to the Pokkén Tournament World Championships!
