Explore a wonderful world of clay, and return colour to Dream Land, in Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush, out now exclusively for Wii U! In this colourful platforming adventure, use the Wii U GamePad touch screen to draw rainbow ropes for Kirby to roll along, or to block obstacles and enemies, and look around each level carefully to uncover loads of Kirby collectibles, such as clay figurines and music tracks!
When Dream Land is drained of all its colour by a mischievous villain called Claycia, Kirby and his Waddle Dee friends set off to bring their homeland back to its bright and beautiful best. Tap and draw on the GamePad touch screen to guide Kirby through a vivid adventure. Kirby will roll along rainbow ropes in the direction they’re drawn, and tapping on Kirby or drawing a loop-de-loop will give him a burst of speed, allowing him to attack enemies or blast through obstacles! Kirby can also transform into a variety of vehicles, such as Kirby Tank and Kirby Rocket, which each use rainbow ropes in their own unique ways!
While the player using the Wii U GamePad controls Kirby and draws rainbow ropes, up to three additional players can drop in and drop out of the fun at any time, using Wii Remotes or Wii U Pro Controllers to play as Waddle Dees. Waddle Dees can run along rainbow ropes, collect items, attack enemies and pick up Kirby if he needs a helping hand.
In certain stages, you can also tap a compatible amiibo in to give Kirby new looks and extra powers. The Kirby amiibo lets you use Star Dash whenever you want, the King Dedede amiibo gives additional health bars, while the Meta Knight amiibo boosts Kirby’s dash speed, allowing him to charge right through certain enemies!
