Puzzle & Dragons Z Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros Edition

12.24.15

Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition includes two gigantic puzzle RPGS, which both use a unique Drag-and-Match style of gameplay (http://puzzleanddragons.nintendo.com). And now your Mushroom Kingdom experience expands even further with a downloadable update for the Super Mario Bros. Edition, available Dec. 24, 2015. This free update brings new Mario™ and Luigi™ Leaders, new Transformations, and new Allies. You’ll also find updated Score Attack challenges that include online world rankings, new Free Challenges where you pick your own team, and gameplay replays.

  • New Leaders: Unlock new Mario and Luigi Leaders by earning certain rankings in Score Attack for both Fixed and Free Challenges! These new Leaders include Metal Mario, Boomerang Luigi, Double Mario, Rock Luigi, and Gold Mario.
  • New Transformations and Allies: Discover new Transformations and Allies for Magikoopas and Golden Goomba Towers! You can also combine Goombas with other characters, like Larry Koopa.
  • Free & Fixed Challenges: In Score Attack, there are 5 new Free Challenges where players can hand pick their team from their own Allies. And 5 updated Fixed Challenges give players a preset team to use.
  • World Rankings: In Score Attack, choose to upload your high score to compete against others from all over the world. Online leaderboards let you compare your scores in Total and Monthly rankings.
  • Replays: Show off your Score Attack skills by sharing replays of your gameplay, or watch replays to see how others complete Score Attack Challenges to improve your own skills!

For fans of Puzzle & Dragons Z, free Online Distributions have been released periodically since the game launched. But as of now, all of the Online Distributions released will be available at Ranger HQ*. To learn more about Online Distributions and how to access them, go to http://puzzleanddragons.nintendo.com/dragons-z/.

And on January 31st, 2016, GungHo will be sponsoring the Puzzle & Dragons International Championship Finals in Japan, with the North American qualifiers having already taken place earlier this December. These finals will even use two of the new Fixed Challenge stages from Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition. The preliminary and semi-finals will use Course 3, and the finals will use Course 5.
